Job Responsibilities
- Must be able to communicate and understand in English and Bengali
- Must be Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food & beverage menu planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, company policies and procedures, personnel management, record-keeping, and preparation of reports
- Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food & beverage preparation and service
- Must have good working knowledge of own area, market trends and industry changes
- Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling and planning
- Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues
- Develop employees by providing on-going feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs.
- Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts
- Ensure positive guest service in all areas.
- Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
- Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner
- Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery and toilet cleaning when and if needed
- Communicate well on all aspects of weekly operations by leading weekly team management meetings
- Suggest employment and termination opinions to management, if needed
- Assist in developing, planning, and executing restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional activities and campaigns
- Should be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 kgs
